Whether we realize it or not,we all have the capacity to create. Some resist, protesting that they're not creative at all. Others embrace creativity fully. I say that we ALL create, every minute of every day. You heard me.
Right now, as you sit and read this blog, you are creating memories of reading this blog. You're creating a new entry in your info library. You're also creating new cells in your body, new hair, fresh saliva... Are you with me yet?
As soon as we're born (even before that, but let's not get too carried away here), we start to create: Sounds, blood, bodily functions, attachment... As small children, we start to create memories, laughter, emotions, Play Doh masterpieces, poopy diapers! =P
As we grow, our creations follow suit. Throughout our school years, we create on a daily basis. Term papers, essays, reports, touchdowns, goals, mistakes, performances, triumphs, hardships, friendships...
See where I'm going with this?...
You see, as I sit here on the beach writing this blog while enjoying some final rays of warm summer sunshine, I'm creating a peaceful happy mobile office experience and memory for my Self. =) I have created space in my day for this yummy mobile office possibility. I have created the absence of a boss and the need to ask her for time off. Hey! I have created my own BOSS pants! Haha!!
Point: You create your own life story.
Just like I have.
Now, don't get me wrong, this gal's life story has not been all wine and roses, no no. In fact, had I read that sentence -- You create your own life story -- a few years ago, I would have gotten so angry, I'd have torn it to smithereens! (Um, yeah, I actually did tear one magazine to shreds...)
A few years ago, I was NOT in a happy place and had NO idea how to change my situation. I had not created a very happy story for my Self. I had gotten sidetracked, run off the track, bogged down and then finally, just plain down. Luckily, I had some smarts in my head and talent under my belt. So once I got tired of feeling sorry for my sorry Self, I started reading stuff just like this blog. And um, yeah, I also stopped tearing the magazines and articles to bits after reading them, lol.
I started thinking for my Self. Listening. Imagining. Creating!
I finally started creating new goals, new ideas, new possibilities, new friends. Once I realized that I was responsible and really in charge of how I could live my own life, I decided to start creating a life I really LOVE.
Since then, I have in fact created a firm foundation for that wonderful life: An amazing relationship with my incredibly confident daughter, a sweet and solid romance with my wonderful man, an exciting business platform that my Dad likes to say I created right out of thin air, a reputation for community theater choreography that keeps bringing me fun juicy projects, a network of friends and fans that now numbers close to 4,000 peeps after just a couple of years, happy confident clients who love the results I help them to achieve, expert status as a business confidence author/blogger/radio show host AND a rewarding satisfying sustainable perspective for my career, my livelihood and my creativity.
It's kinda like what goes around, comes around. I started with creativity to end with creativity!
Listen, you know me well enough by now to know that I'm not telling you all of this just to boast.
Point: If I can do it, so can you. Heck if THEY can all do it, so can WE!
Creating your own best life stories for your best highest good is an ongoing process. It takes time. It takes daily, diligent practice. It takes attention, care and feeding. Just like any art form or habit.
You just have to take out your pen and start writing.
