HUSTLE Noun and verb in one word, I love it when that happens!
HUSTLE makes you think of constant forward motion or nonstop push towards a goal, doesn't matter if the goal is money, another gig or front row seats.
HUSTLE also makes me think of that quintessential line dance of the 70s (I was a pro at that dance on the grammar school cafeteria stage, that's for sure!), but it's also a great term to describe the steps taken by business ~ and show business ~ movers and shakers to get their ideas out into the world.
HUSTLE stories like those of actor/comedian Jim Carrey, triple threat Jennifer Lopez, author John Grisham, entertainer turned producer Madonna and fashion designer Ralph Lauren represent hard working rags to riches legends in each of their industries. What made them famous? HUSTLE.
How do you get there, too? HUSTLE. Here are the top three ways to get some:
1. Create Your Artist Vision Creating and believing in a vision of yourself as an Artist and getting others to believe in it is key to building your success. If you’re in the business just to make money, chances are you will give up because most companies don’t make money for three to five years.
BUT, if you're driven by a vision so passionate that you’re willing to spend 80 hours a week working at it for the next five to ten years to make it happen, you will make it happen.
2. Let Go of Fear As Winston Churchill said, “Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with enthusiasm.” Fear of failure keeps most of us from going for our dreams.
As I know from experience, quitting a stable job and devoting yourself 100% to making your vision a reality is a very scary jump. Here's an exercise that can help: Make a list of everything you have to lose. Write that list all down paper. Study it. Sleep on it. Then tell me, could you bounce back from going broke if things don't happen fast enough? Could you bounce back from your regret if you never ever really GO for your dreams? Decide which scenario is scarier...
3. Keep On Moving The most important thing is to keep on going. Work harder and smarter than everyone else and don’t give up.
Here's the thing: Most of us don’t learn how to hustle from our parents ~ CERTAINLY not from school. Instead, we suddenly find ourselves driven by a passion so strong and cray that we do whatever it takes to get off the ground. Learn from other successful Artists and remember the fact that most success stories fail many times before they succeed.
The only difference between you and them is courage. Drop the fear and FLY!

I am really pumped about these results and can't wait until we delve into other social media platforms. Pam's first class really hit all the nuts and bolts of setting up a Facebook business page and easy to implement strategies to put it to work for business owners right away.
